Privacy Policy
What this site collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.
Last updated
Ride Drive Electric is a static website. There are no accounts, no advertising network, no analytics script and no tracking pixels. The overwhelming majority of visits leave no record with us at all.
What the site collects
If you use the contact form
The contact form collects the name, email address and message you type into it. That is used to read and reply to your message, and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, not sold, and not shared with anyone.
If you just read
Nothing is collected by the site itself. No cookies are set, and no analytics or advertising scripts run. Fonts and images are served from this domain rather than from a third party, so reading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.
Who else is involved
The site is hosted by Netlify, which operates the servers that deliver these pages and receives contact form submissions. Like any web host, Netlify keeps standard server logs — the requesting IP address, the page requested, and the time. Those logs exist for security and operations and are held under Netlify's own terms.
Links out to manufacturers, publications and other sites are marked as external. Once you follow one, that site's own privacy policy applies and this one no longer does.
How long anything is kept
Contact form submissions are kept while the conversation is useful and deleted once it isn't. Server logs are retained on Netlify's schedule rather than ours.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, the EU, or another jurisdiction with equivalent protections, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice that means the contents of a contact form you sent, because that is all there is. Ask through the contact page and it will be dealt with.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. Some of the guides are written for parents buying equipment for a child; that is a different thing, and the reader in those cases is the adult.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes — anything that means the site starts collecting something it didn't before — will be described here rather than made quietly.
